It seems that my computer crashes when I play Crysis or orther demanding games. The system completely shuts itself down. I think it may be a result of heat from dust collection. I opened my computer and cleaned off all the dust (there was a lot), and it seemed to run better, but crashed again. The demo ran perfectly, without a hitch, so this is frusterating. I wish Windows would tell me WHY the computer shut itself off. Can anyone help me?

I know Empire Total War has been well recieved by critics, but what what I've seen on the Total War forums, there is a very different perspective? What do you guys think of Empire Total War? I heard you have to use Steam even with the retail version. Is this true?

THIS IS A JOKE, SO DON'T GET ALL PISSED!!! Here are my theories of how Starcraft II could fail (If you're a Blizzard fan boy, then you're likely to get pissed anyway): Everyone spends a week camped outside the game store to get their hands on a copy of Starcraft II. Everyone gets it, and some problems come up: 1) The game uses intrusive DRM. People get pissed. "You Blizzard people should have known better!" kind of protests. Game gets posted on torrent sites, be...

This is my opinion of Stardock new GOO DRM. Don't do it. Just don't do it. Remember what people say. DRM, no matter how light or minimal, is still DRM. Judging by what I've read, GOO does things with the internet, as does other DRM, and it makes itself a center component of a game installation, as does other DRM again. I know Stardock means well with this, but many people know Stardock for a "No DRM" stance, so they'll probably feel cheated and turn to piracy, which will make publi...

Shut down the piracy sites. There are many high profile piracy sites, such as the Pirate Bay. The government can shut down these sites. In fact, the Russian government is doing that, so why cant the U.S. follow suit. These sites are illegal, so the government should shut them down. Doing this would be like hitting piracy in the nuts. With a golf club. Plus, with less piracy, publishers wouldn't have to punish legitimate custormers with crap DRM. Everybody wins, expect pirates, and those ba...

That idiotic, game hating, son of a b*tch is at it again! Old Jack tried to get a bill passed that would severely punish retailers for selling M-rated games to minors. The governer of Utah vetoed to bill, using the same reason that has killed Jack's attempts to destroy gaming in the past: the freaking First Amendment. Old Jack just doesn't learn. What really annoys me is this guy's nerve. He got disbarred as a lawyer in Florida, and now he's in Utah. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a disba...

EA seems to be finally wanting to correct it's errors regarding DRM, as the Sims 3 ISN"T GOING TO USE ONLINE DRM!!! All you have to do is type in a disk code, just like you used to do. I think this is great and it shows that EA (hopefully) is going to change its DRM choices. If things keep going well, we may see patches for EA games that remove online activation and install limits from their games (Spore, Burnout Paradise), even though that may be wishful thinking. The link is here. http...

There is something in the sea!!! And it's the Bioshock 2 teaser site! Let me tell you, it's quite interesting. It's been showing the path of a mysterious being traveling through water and kidnapping little girls. The only seen that has been seen is a red light. The thing has struck the U.S. now. This is quite the mysterious site. "Photos and newspaper clippings: tell whats been going on, and well as the guy whos been following it all. I believe it is updated daily. The URL is www.somethin...

This has been going on ever since the forum was revamped. I assumed that the forum people were working on this. They clearly haven't. Can the forum people fix this?

There is an awesome band out there called Freakhouse. They just released their second full length album. I have it, and I love it. Their website is freakhouse.com . You can also listen to five of their songs at their Myspace page. Seriously, check these guys out. You wont regret. If you have another band you like, be sure to let others know, especally if the band isn't well known. Its good to give bands well deserved publicity.

Well, there's always debates whether PC's or consoles are better. I've put together a comparison list, so you can decide for yourselves. PC Advantages: Can have better graphics than any current console. (PC's are the reason consoles exist) Much more powerful. (Core i7 and 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM, anyone?) Is the best at many game genres, like FPS, RTS, and of course, MMO. Can do a lot more than just play games. Customizable, and very upgradeable. Has some great exclusive games. C...

I had remembered something about this award winning computer animation. I want to find out about it but all I know is that it has this character called Dennis the Dog. This Dennis character is supposed to be well known, but searching the web isn't helping. Does anyone know anything about this animation???

We all know what End User License Agreements (EULA) are. But why? Why do only PC Games have them? To me, it's like copy protection: a stupid idea that is put into PC games just because the publishers can do it. If you actually read the thing (which no one does), you can see that the publisher may be doing something other than giving you a game (malware, StarForce). Why? How come console games don't have EULAs on them? Why do PC gamers have to put up with this shit? I dare a developer/pub...

I see people with higher "access levels" than other people, like "Journeyman" over "Citizen". How do you go up, and what stuff can you do when you have higher access?
