Read this IGN article. http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1213607p1.html You have to hand it to CD Project. Even though 5 copies were pirated to one legitimate purchase, they still will not use intrusive DRM, unlike some publishers *cough* Ubisoft *cough*. This is really a Catch 22 for developers and publishers. If they use strict DRM, people will get angry, not buy the game, and pirate it. On the other, if they use relaxed DRM, pirates' eye will light up, seeing an easy target. The whol...
The reason why I'm posting this here is because most tech support websites tend to attract useless comments like "oh I have this problem too!". All right, whenever I'm on the internet, my computer has had an increasing tendency to give a BSOD. Its always the same error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, or something close to that (I don't really want to have to double check if you get my meaning). This once was a rare occurance, but it's been happening a bit more frequently. I'v...
Well, it's been too long since I've had a good book in my hands, so I need some recommendations. What I'm looking for in particular is Space Opera and Space warfare sci-fi, as well as fantasy where war a major part of the story. As you can tell I like war and action in the books I read. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
How many here have played Trackmania? I'd be suprised to see how many here play, since they've got around 9,000,000 registered players (dont know how many actually consistently play though )The developer Nadeo, is about to release a new game in the series, simply called Trackmania 2. Personally, I'm pretty excited to see what 2 has to offer.
I bought Company of Heroes recently when it was on sale because of all the good reviews. The campaign provides good narrative and decent mission structure, but man, playing skirmishes, I'm starting to think I wasted my money. The pace is WAY too fast, and playing as the Americans, the German army has some really unfair advantages (they have better, well, everything). The whole concept seems off to me. Instead of constructing buildings that produce resources, you have go around the map and se...
http://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/gamestop-under-fire-removing-free-coupons-deus-ex-234821510.html Apparently they don't like OnLive, even though every copy comes with the coupon. According to the article they want to "protect their digital distribution system". You mean, the one you bought from Stardock at less than it was worth, and never going to fully use. One, this is a horrible thing for Gamestop to do, and two: Stardock, why did you sell Impulse to Gamestop? It...
So, I see the Elder Scrolls IV Game of the Year Edition (has both expansions and all the DLC) for $25 bucks, and I heard there are a lot of essential mods for this game. What are they?
Ever since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released at $60 dollars, all the big publishers have started pricing games at 60 dollars, Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, Starcraft 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Bulletstorm, its a really become a negative trend now. While PS3 and Xbox 360 games have always been $60, $10 of that went into Sony or Microsoft's pocket. There's no reason for PC other than to price gouge. All I see is greed, and with these publishers you get little to no patch support, DLC ...
This has been all over the news. It had so much hope that Libya's government would be overthrown and that psychotic clown of a dictator Qaddafi would finally be thrown out. Now it seems like the rebels are going to fail. They've been pleading for Western Intervention but Obama is basically fiddling while Libya burns. If Benghazi, the rebel capital falls, Qaddafi will be free to butcher every single person who opposes him. Why do we always wait until its too late?
When I boot my computer from Sleep mode, the desktop is unresponsive (nothing reacts when I click, icons don't light up when I pass the cursor over it, right clicking doesn't do anything). This only started happening today. I downloaded new display drivers for my computer yesterday, but that's all I can think of. Can anyone help me with this?
What is the best software that can block pop ups, as well as ads that appear on the sides of webpages? They add a lot of load time to some pages. Plus some ads have stuff I really don't want to look at.
I really do not want to play the opening levels (the sewers/canals and Ravenholm). The sewers are boring and confusing, and Ravenholm is just too damn scary . I like sci fi, not horror. If anyone can give me links to where i can download post-Ravenholm save games, it would be much appreciated.
I recently had my computer's OS restored, and now when I try to put my computer into Sleep (stand by) mode, it goes into sleep mode briefly (the light blinks as usual), and then the system turns itself back on again. This is extremely irritating. Can anyone help me?
