Good riddance to bad rubbish.
"He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword" He had it coming...
maybe, but isn't celebrating someone's (even osama's) death in the streets exactly the kind of ideology the west was fighting against? seems a tad ironic eh?
of course this could all just be an "attention-grab" seeing as we all know the us has been jealous of the attention the brits have been getting over the last few weeks...
Celebrating the execution of a wanted man, guilty of killing thousands worldwide, and leader of an organization that declared war on the United States is against our ideologies? Since when? I'm not sure all of those words mean what you think they do.
And truly, it's a symbol more than celebration of his death. The Statue of Liberty has no strategic value at all, but if destroyed would take a heavy toll none the less. Osama is the symbol of how many Americans view terrorists, and with his death it is a victory worth celebrating against terrorism.
There's a lot possible to comment on, and a lot of opinions that can soar to new heights of internet debauchery on the subject, but you can't scold us for it not being a Christian thing to do like everything else we do is perfectly in line with Christian ideology.
The death of a man that would gladly kill you, me, and take away everything everyone I love holds dear is okay with me. I'm not banging pots up and down the street, but the world is better off, no matter your religion or lack there of.
Symbolic, nothing else. What changes now?
It is a good day.
I'm not celebrating Bin Laden's death--I'm celebrating that justice was brought across the world to mass murderers--that they couldn't hide and smirk and boast about being bullet-proof.
Bin Laden is a foot note and his death is no more or less than the same death that comes from aconvicted murderer's execution. It's not revenge--it's justice.
What's good about this for me (as a US citizen) is knowing that our country can stand up and do something when it needs to and having the world see it too.
It's a good day here.
It's a shame that his people are just going to spin his death into martyrdom. But I suppose we at least dropped the bomb in the right hole this time.
It's also too bad they dumped the body so quickly.
Now, only his hair dresser knows for sure...
The street celebrations were a little off-putting, given how offended & distressed I was at the way the 'Arab street' celebrated 9-11. I've had no sense of excitement at this news, no urge to celebrate at all, just relief and gratitude.
At least they weren't firing Kalashnikovs into the air.
The only thing bad about this sack of trash being taken out is it happened on obama's watch and all the dumbacrats are going to be screaming "Look what dear leader did! He got bin laden".
I wish they would have saved his mutilated head to put on a stick so the rest of those superstitious freaks could see him in all his glory. Now he is sitting in hell wondering where all the virgins are.
The leader, and perhaps some victims can find closure to his atrocities of the past.
I'm not much into politics and stuff, but I really hope they got the real one, I am sure he have (or had) stunt doubles considering who are we talking about here. I am glad he's dead, but I'm also skeptical. Is it confirmed that he is the real one? Absolutely positively?
[Updated 11:16 am. ET] A DNA match confirms Osama bin Laden was killed in a U.S. operation, a senior administration official told CNN Monday.

Looks like he was a fan of Just For Men.
It's probably a fake, BTW. The ghouls just can't help themselves.
